SPORTS DAY 2008 - 2009

The School Sports Day conducted on 13th August 2008 in the school grounds. The sports meet started at 9.30 a.m. with the arrival of the Chief Guest, who was accorded a Guard of Honour by the JRC and the Scouts. A prayer song titled "You are my love and my light’’ was rendered by the School choir. There was a colorful March Past by the four Houses and the school Band. Mr. Nataraj IPS Additional Director General of Prisons presided over the opening ceremony.

The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Mr. K. Rajendran, Vice President (Materials) India Cements, Chennai. He gave away the prizes and trophies. The overall team championship went to the Lions House. The best team for March Past also went to the Lions house. The best disciplined house was the Eagles House and the best cheering house was the Tigers House. The programme came to an end at 2.00 p.m. with the lowering of the flag and the sounding of the Last Post.
