The programme began with a Prayer Song by the school choir followed by a Bible reading. This was followed by the lighting of the Kuthuvillaku by the chief guest who
is a very eminent personality in his field of expertise with an experience of more than30years as a teacher and research scholar in Endocrinology, Thyroidology and Oncology. He has published nearly 100 papers in these subjects. He has delivered 200 lectures at national and inter-national Conferences. After the welcome address the chief guest addressed the gathering with a thought provoking speech while he encouraged the budding scientists of the day.
The various exhibits were arranged in the classrooms and the laboratories. The exhibition was divided into 4 categories i.e. 1) Stds.5&6 2) Stds 7&8 3) Stds 9&10 and 4) Stds 11&12. Well-qualified and experienced people from the various fields of Science will judge all the categories.
Invitations have been sent to the neighbouring schools to witness the various exhibits and encourage the participants.
The Centenary BEDEX 2007 ended at 2.30 pm with a Valedictory function presided over by
Dr. M. Venkatesan who is the proprietor of Radio Warehouse. He studied in U.S.A. and did his Ph.D. in Social work. He was the recipient of the Best Industrialist Award from Tokyo, Japan consecutively from 2002 – 2006. He was declared Asia Pacific No. 1 by Mico-Bosch group of companies in Germany. He received the Best Business Magnate of India Award for the year 2006 – 2007 from our present Governor Dr. Surjith Singh Barnala. Dr. Venkatesan announced the winners and distributed the prizes.
