St.Bedes does not concentrate on academics alone but has a more holistic approach to education. In keeping with the Salesian spirit as taught by St.Don Bosco, our Founder and Patron, we at St. Bedes do our utmost to identify the hidden talents of our students and nurture their growth. We have a C.C.A (Co-Curricular Activity) period once a week during which all students are given opportunities to display their talents in organized activities like Elocution, Debate, Acting, Ex-tempore speaking, Singing etc.

These activities, conducted in the class help the students to overcome shyness and also to discover their own individual talents.
Besides this, through the ELA (English Literary Association) & TLA (English Literary Association), the students are given opportunities to participate in inter-class debates and other competitions like Shipwreck, Block and Tackle, Ad-Zap. Competitions are also held during Bedean Day in the month of November to celebrate Children's Day. Certificates are given to the Winners and more importantly, House Points are allotted to the winning teams.
Students are also encouraged to participate in Cultural Programmes and Competitions conducted in other schools. We are proud to say that the teams sent out to other schools walk away with most of the prizes - be it Singing, Dancing, Speaking or Acting.
Quiz programmes, Drawing and Painting competitions are held regularly in the school and the talented students are sent to participate in inter-school competitions in which many of them. Do very well and return with prizes.
Thus, St.Bedes provides its students with many opportunities to discover their hidden talents. While helping with the growth of these talents, it also helps them to get the self-confidence needed to face the world.
