Bishop emeritus of Nellore, Rev. Fr. Stanislaus Swamikannu, the Salesian Provincial of the Chennai Province and scores of Salesian priests.

The Congregation was made up of Salesian Brothers, teachers, past and present students, parents, non-teaching staff, friends, benefactors and well wishers. The mass commenced with Rev. Fr. Joe Andrew SDB., the present Rector and Correspondent of our school welcoming the celebrants and the congregation. A solemn entrance procession consisting of all the people who make up this Salesian family came up to the Altar with a hundred roses that were received by Rev.Fr. Rector and placed in a heart placed at the Altar.

The prayer of faithful and offertory procession was specially organized by the teachers for the special occasion. Welcome dance and song of light at the end of the mass was choreographed well and it added meaning the liturgy. The important milestones in the history of St.Bede’s were made know through a special exhibit, during the mass. The Choir comprising of the past and present students rent the air with melodious and specially chosen hymns both English and Latin. The choir was conducted by Mr. Keith Stephenson.

The centenary thanksgiving mass concluded with the song of light, as candles were lit and passed around to all those who were present for the mass. The whole meaningful and beautiful thanksgiving mass concluded with the solemn blessing of the Bishops.

After the solemn thanksgiving mass we had the felicitation of the Bishops and other important Salesian who have rendered their generous service to St. Bede’s the school of our hearts. During this momentous occasion, we had the release of a new devotional album titled ‘Ninaivaaga Nee’. The album is a collection of devotional songs composed and sung by famous persons, the music album is produced by the community of St.Bede’s and specially coordinated by Bro. Sathish SDB., . It was released as a memory of the St.Bede’s Centenary Celebration.
